With a focus on modern health challenges, we help bridge the gap between preventing disease through the ancient art & science of Ayurveda with the innovation & diagnostics of western medicine. Striking a working balance between these two modalities helps our clients and patients live more vital and radiant lives. Deacon Carpenter is the author of A little bit of Ayurveda and believes in a practical approach to Ayurveda and Yoga.

By working in concert with other philosophies of health, particularly Ayurveda and it’s focus, the goal of functional medicine is to collaborate with fellow practitioners both at Well Sonoma and in the broader local community and world, providing patients and clients with the best possible outcomes. This approach is more of a hub and spoke model of healthcare, putting the patient at the center of care, creating a more well-rounded approach to your individual needs and desires and a deeper sense of health and wellbeing. Dr. Ginger Schechter is a California native, board certified in Internal Medicine, with 17 years of experience treating patients in Western Medicine.

Even though still under the care of oncologists, their strong support felt during treatment often disappears after therapy ends. The outside world believes the end of the “cancer journey” is reached with the end of treatment, but for the survivor this is oftentimes when the real struggle begins. The program is being offered by Michaela Codding, who was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer at the age of 47 in 2015. Through her own experience, as well as speaking to other survivors and medical professionals the necessity of a program like this became very apparent.
